Meals

Tigger's Nurseries have been awarded 5 stars ***** at every inspection since opening at Tetbury in 2014 for food and hygiene, during spot checks by the Cotswold District Council.

In order to attain these high standards, our menus are healthy, with all dietary requirements catered for. Food risk assessments are regularly competed and monitored. Our standards for food hygiene and handling are excellent and all our staff are professionally trained in this.

We pride ourselves on providing healthy meals; our menus were developed in consultation with a paediatric dietician, ensuring nutritional balance. We provide alternative choices for vegetarians and all requirements can be catered for onsite. Here at Tigger's Nurseries, we care about the quality of our food and do not make use of additives or preservatives. We use a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables and cook all meals freshly on site.

Dependent on the sessions your child attends, they are provided with breakfast, a mid-morning snack, lunch, a mid-afternoon snack and tea, all at no additional charge. We encourage our children to relax and take their time during meal times. This regular group interaction is an important part of our day, providing opportunities for linguistic and social development as well as growing independence, and establishing good manners.

Where possible, children set the table and pour their own drinks, and at snack time select their own fruit. Children learn about sharing and turn-taking by offering other children snack plates and sharing the tongs which they use to self-serve. Parents must inform the Nursery Manager of any special dietary requirements and allergies. A letter from your GP is required to confirm any allergies and highlight potential consequences, allowing us to be prepared at all times and ensuring the safety of your child.
